Hi Sophia--of course glad to help if I can I had the same issue at wide open aperture. I shot these fully manual since I had the time. :). Most of these were shot at f/16 to f/32--the full moon actually emits a lot of light so I was able to shoot it handheld even with a smaller aperture. I had to use a tripod after that and the full eclipse was shot at a pretty slow shutterspeed--somewhere in the 2-4 second range. If you want more detail I can look at the exact settings for each later this week and let you know. HOpe that helps
Oh that would be so great...if only just a couple of the pics. I think the f/stop info helped though. Don't know why I didn't adjust a bit just to experiment.
Sophia--no problem. I took the photos with the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS ii fully extended to 200mm. My camera is a cropped sensor (40D)so the shots were not a true 200mm. The specifics of a couple are:
Full moon: f/16 shutter speed 1/250 2nd eclipse shot: f/32 shutter speed 1 second Full eclipse: f/32 shutter speed 5 seconds
